Geography and history of experiences
Jutland has its own proud history. A unique story, of course, because it is a frontier region. For the story interested, there are countless opportunities to cultivate interest. And it is exciting both north and south of the current limit.
Visit the example. Dybbøl knock, Dybbøl mill Dybbøl Center and Dannevirke (Germany). Dybbøl is approx. 30-40 min. drive from Gåsevig Beach Camping. The "old frontier" which lies just north of Christiansfeld is only 20 min. drive from the campsite.
Discover also some of the many bunkers across Jutland the Germans have built. Many of these can still look around. There are two in the Gulf of Diernæs, and between the island and Gåsevig Barsø there was a submarine base during 1st World War II.
Sønderjyllands history is very present, including by the many castles such. in Aabenraa and Sønderborg. And everyone knows Schackenborg Castle, Gråsten, Gram Gottorp castle and castle in Germany.
